Rotation Crops
Cereal crops generally follow the potato crop. Barley is usually under seeded to a grass legume mixture which gives a hay crop the following year.
Hay and silage are harvested and used for feed or sold locally.
Soybeans are becoming an alternate rotation crop. Soybeans are an important protein source in many foods and also in animal feeds.
